This jewelry series is inspired by the release of the second book in The Islanders series, The Islanders: Search for Treasure, by Mary Alice Monroe with Angela May and illustrated by Jennifer Bricking. The glass in this piece is fused with sand from Dewees Island in South Carolina, which is the setting for The Islanders book series. The Islanders is a beautiful story of friendship, loss, and the healing power of nature. This middle grade book series is riveting-our kids couldn’t put it down! When I had the chance to work with the authors of the book on a special jewelry line I jumped at the oppurtunity.
